The special election is March 5, 2019.

Why is there a special election?

There will be a special election to fill the Supervisor seat formerly held by Andreas Borgeas. Borgeas  will serve as California's State Senator in the 8th District.

What does Fresno County provide residents?

The County of  Fresno was formed in 1856 encompassing 6,011 square miles, with a population of 930,450* residents. 


Fresno County provides countywide services, including elections, voter registration, law enforcements, jails, vital records, property records, tax collection, public health and social services. In addition the County serves as the local government for all unincorporated areas.

How Do I vote in this election?

Vote by Mail voters: Ballots were mailed in early February. You do not need a stamp to mail in your ballot. Make sure it is post marked by March 5.

Poll voters: Polling places are open on Election Day from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. You can find your polling place on your voter guide that was mailed to your residence. 

Early voting: If you want to vote early, you can do this at the elections office: 2221 Kern Street, Fresno
